Help Our Cause

 Inspired by “Birthright Israel”, a dream was born to create an opportunity for those born under the trans-Atlantic slave trade in the north and south Americas, to gain the right to return to Africa. A stolen heritage can be restored to those who seek it but may not be able to afford the expenses involved in such a journey.  African American Birthright Organization seeks to aide those who desire to be reconnected to their roots and experience a guided tour through the west coast of Africa. This program will assist in all the arrangements and immunizations needed to travel internationally, the applicants will follow a 90 day process to ensure they are physically and mentally prepared for the experience. AABO is a nonprofit organization, meant to provide a way for Black people in America to go Home. We seek to enrich the community with a sense of pride and purpose, to heal wounds deeply attached to our DNA, and to create a brighter future with knowledge of the past. Our goal is to leave no one without a chance to go Home. Our pleasure is to create an experience that motivates our people to grow.
Our plans:Collect donations to fund Go HOME birthright trips! Partner with clinics for immunizations (non covered applicants) Assist with Passport applications 
Partner with educational guides in Serra Leone, Ivory Coast, Ghana, and Nigeria 

Establish connections in West Africa - the founding members will travel to West Africa to scope out the areas meant to be visited, they will prepare the leg work so the birthright trip. We want to create an experience that will start the healing

Create application process for candidates to Go Home: there are roughly 40 million Black Americans and we want everyone to have the opportunity to Go Home. This will require a process to ensure everyone has the chance.
